Security systems worth having should be invisible until you need them. We design and install CCTV, intruder alarms and access control using Hikvision, Ajax, Ring and similar pro ecosystems, with proper cable routing and on-site commissioning, not an Amazon kit bolted to the wall.
Good domestic security is three things: camera positioning, alarm design, and cable discipline. Cameras pointed at the wrong angles catch nothing but passing cats; alarms zoned badly trip every time the dog walks past the PIR; systems with cable stapled up the brickwork look like an afterthought and date your house instantly.
We start with a site walk. Entry points, blind spots, sight-lines along boundary fences, where a would-be intruder would actually approach from. Cameras get specified with the right focal length for the distance they're covering, not a 2.8mm wide-angle on every corner because that was in the starter kit.
For cable, we use existing service voids wherever possible, soffits, loft spaces, risers. Where we can't, we core discreetly and run black LSZH cable that disappears against dark cladding or behind downpipes. The first thing our CCTV installs don't look like is a CCTV install.
