The hardware is only half the job. A good EV install is clean cable routing, correct earth arrangement for your supply type, Type A RCD protection, smart tariff commissioning, and, if you have solar, diversion set up so your car takes surplus generation first. We do all of that as standard.
The question we ask first isn't 'which charger?', it's 'what's your supply type?'. On a TN-C-S supply, which is most UK homes, open-PEN protection is a hard requirement for outdoor chargers. Some chargers have it built in; others need an external earth rod and matrix sensor. Getting that wrong isn't a cosmetic issue: it's a legal one.
Second question: can your supply actually deliver an unbroken 7kW? If you've already got an electric shower, an induction hob and a heat pump, the answer is probably no, but that's fine, because CT-clamp load management lets the charger back off when the rest of the house is pulling current. You never trip the main fuse, and you still get the full 7kW most of the time.
