Cruise Garden Rooms

Home Office Studios

Insulated, fully wired, broadband-ready, with a dedicated circuit from the main consumer unit and optional climate control.

What we do

Working from the kitchen table gets old by the third day. A proper home office at the end of the garden gives you a dedicated, quiet, well-lit working space, insulated to residential standards, wired to commercial standards, and heated or cooled depending on the season.

  • Typical footprint 3 × 2.4m up to 5 × 4m, scaled to your garden.
  • PIR insulation in the walls, floor and roof.
  • Dedicated circuit from your main consumer unit; Cat6 data run as standard.
  • Double glazing and thermally broken aluminium doors.
  • LED lighting, USB-C sockets and skirting trunking for clean cable management.
  • Air-conditioning or low-profile electric heaters sized for the room.

A room that performs as well as it looks

A garden office only justifies itself if you use it year-round. That means insulation beyond the Building Regs minimum, we spec PIR to 100mm in walls and 150mm in the roof, with a continuous vapour barrier that's actually continuous, not taped up in the easy bits and ignored round the awkward bits. The difference in January is the difference between 'the garden office is lovely' and 'I'll just work at the kitchen table today'.

On heating, we default to a low-wattage wall-mounted electric panel heater for small rooms (economical, silent, no plumbing); a single-room air-source heat pump for medium rooms (efficient, adds cooling in summer); and an A+++ split air-conditioning unit where the brief prioritises summer comfort over winter heating. All three run on your dedicated garden-room circuit.

Cabling gets designed in from the start. A dedicated circuit from the main consumer unit feeds a small sub-consumer unit inside the room. From there: enough twin sockets for a proper work setup (we default to six, not the usual two), a Cat6 data run from the house, skirting trunking so monitor and lighting cables don't climb up white walls, and a separate USB-C tabletop grommet for desk-level device charging.
